Don't forget to fill out the required forms so your athlete can particicpate! (School Sport Alberta MUST be Jointly read and signed by the athlete and guardian).
Practice Schedule
Football requires dedication and conditioning. Our teams practice 4 days a week after school. Practices are mandatory unless a player is sick or has an academic commitment.
Game Days
A team bus is provided to transport players from the high school to the stadium and back. We strongly encourage all parents, family, and friends to come out to support the team! (Various Field Locations)
PLAYER SAFETY
We know that football is a contact sport, and player safety is our absolute highest priority. Our coaching staff is certified in safe tackling techniques and we invest heavily in protective equipment.
Guardian Caps
LOHS Football utilizes Guardian Caps to maximize safety during contact practices. While we currently do not have enough for the entire team, they are available to any player upon request.
Concussion Protocols
We follow strict return-to-play protocols for any suspected head injuries. If a player is evaluated and suspected of having a concussion, they are immediately removed from play and must be cleared by a medical professional before returning to practice.
